The Coordinators and Educators at the Centre for Prehospital Care are busy providing in-person Paramedic Practice Rounds this fall and winter. As such, you may experience a delay in receiving a response to your email, call, or text message. We thank you for your patience!
The scheduled rounds will support the upcoming release of the Advanced Life Support Patient Care Standards (ALS PCS), version 5.0, which will be enforced, effective February 1, 2023. Some of the highlights include new treatments with medications such as Oxytocin, Ondansetron and Dexamethasone. These medications will be added to both the PCP and ACP scope of practice to enhance the already existing medical directives. Paramedics will also receive a practical review of existing skills.
Please contact us should you have any questions.
